CHRISTMAS PARTY

HAPPY FUNCTION AT OFFICERS CLUB

The rooms of the Officers' Club in Moray place, though spacious, were only just adequate to hold the large number of guests who were present on Thursday evening at the club's annual Christmas party. Gaily-coloured flags fluttered above the heads of the dancers and were draped about the walls, where coloured lights were used to good effect on the antlers of deerheads. The roses and other floral decorations were much admired, but the centre of interest was the Christmas tree, behind which Dick Colvin's orchestra played bright and appropriate selections. The festive atmosphere was enhanced at supper time when paper hats were distributed. The president of the Officers' Club, Captain P. W. Spiers, and Mrs Spiers acted as host and hostess, the latter wearing a handsome gown of soft
