HEADQUARTERS NEWS
Camper's Badge.—The camper's badge examination will be held on the first Saturday of each month at headquarters at 1.15. Entries close on the last Friday of each month. Camp Notice.—No Scouts, either in patrols or troops, may camp without first obtaining permission from headquarters. Scouters are requested to assist in this matter. Pathfinder badge results. —Passes were:—D. Cameron, A. 8., 914 per cent; J. Collier, 0., 90 per cent; R. White, N.D., 90 per cent; P. Naumann, M., 89J per cent; W. Penrose, A. 8., 85$ per cent.; J. Herron, K., 84 per cent.; D. Kilgour, M., 824 per cent.; E. Harrould, St. C, 82J per cent.; R. Rawling, R., 78 per cent.; S. Gaudin, St. C, 77 per cent.; G. Flockton, M., 73 per cent, K. Huggett, M., 69£ per cent; J. S. Macdonald, M., 73 per cent.; A. Sime, K., 67 per cent. Scouters are again reminded that the number of entrants must be submitted to headquarters before the Monday preceding the examination. In future, Scouts who have not been entered will not be examined. GROUP REPORTS
Ravensbourne.—There was a muster of some 30 Scouts last Friday evening, which was the occasion of the annual break-up. The committee was present, and after an interesting evening spent in playing games and singing songs, supper wasserved, and the troop dismissed. Anderson Bay Sea Scouts.—Last Saturday evening the Sea Scouts held their break-up for the year. The earlier hour was spent doing boatwork. This was followed by a series of impromptu speeches given by the boys. Later supper was provided, and after a successful-even-ing the troop was dismissed. Green Island.—The break-up of the troop was held last Friday evening. There was a full attendance of Scouts, Cubs, and parents. The Cub programme consisted of games, songs, pianoforte and violin solos. Patrol stunts and some individual items constituted the Scout portion of the programme. Th£ election of & committee formed the business of the evening., G.S.M. Murie thanked the past committee and complimented the boys on their work. S.M. Clark addressed the boys before the dismissal. Kensington. —. Flag-break last Thursday evening signified the opening of the last troop meeting to be held this year. After the troop had come back from a mile run, during which Owen Latimore passed his Scout pace, a game of " peanut balancing" was played. The patrol leaders then instructed their patrols in their resoective corners, after
which a practice in hakas was held. The troop was then told about the parade for Safety Week. On Friday evening four boys paraded in the Safety Week procession.
