The type of plant used in Balclutha was similar to that being installed at Invercargill, though the latter would be on a bigger scale and more up-to-date. The cost of the Invercargill installation will he about £20,000. The building at the power house is partly finished and the arrival of the steel cylinder, which is due on November 13. is now awaited The main building near the water tower is in process of erection.
