OPIUM SMOKING
RAID BY POLICE THREE CHINESE FINED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. Following a police raid into barri* caded opium-smoking premises is Haining street, Wellington, last night, three Chinese were each fined £2O, and another £ls, with costs; in default two months with hard labour. They were allowed seven days in which to pay.
