OTAGO CLUB A Single Stableford Handicap was played on the Balmacewen links on Saturday. The strong north-easterly wind which prevailed affected the scores. The winner in the A Grade section was D. A. ROXBURGH TOURNAMENT The popular Roxburgh tourney was held on the Roxburgh links last week, when the ladies’ events were played off on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the men’s events on Friday and Saturday. Excellent weather prevailed during the whole tourney, and with the links in fine order play proved enjoyable for all those taking part. The entries were a record, as many as 54 women and 80 men taking part in the play. The S' 1 . Clair Club put up a record for this tourney, bringing up 21 men players, while they were also represented by three women players. Some fine scores were handed in by both ladies and men, and the best gross score for the tourney went to A. Lawrence, of St. Clair, who handed in a 70 in the second round of the Men’s Senior Championship, The visitors were well looked after by the members of the local club, and the catering was in the capable hands of the local women players.
