ANNUAL TRIALS. The annual trials of the Tuapeka Collie Club were held at Lawrence on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of last week. The entries showed an. improvement ori last year, the , figures, being 107, against 87. The weather was favourable, and a capable band of officials under Mr J. A. Robertson (president) and Mr J. Colgan (secretary) put the events through without unnecessary delay. Mr D. Murdoch (Brighton) was judge. Results:—'.':"," Class I, Short Head, Pull and Hold in Ring (30 entries). —Maiden; W. J. Dog guessing competition: H. Beattie (Manuka Creek). At the conclusion of the trials Mr J. A. Robertson (president) presented Mr W. Beattie with the club’s trophy for most points scored at the tna,s. Mr Robertson also thanked Mr D. Murdoch (Brighton) , for judging the trials.
