POLICE BALL

The third annual ball of the Dunedin Police Social Club was held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Monday last, and, despite very unpleasant weather, there was a good attendance, comprising members of the force, their wives and friends, and the general public. The hall was tastefully decorated in the Otago Police colours, blue and gold, the decorative scheme being carried out under the direction of Mr Osborne. Excellent music was rendered by the Savonia Band, and the catering of Mr Campbell met with the approval of all present. Mr T. Thomson was an efficient M.C.

Superintendent Rawle and Mrs Rawle—the hostess, wearing a gown of Gloucester green patterned silk crepe with black coatee—received the guests of the evening, who were as follows:—
