INTERESTING ENGAGEMENT
(From Our Own Correspondent)' (By Air Mail) LONDON, May 25. An engagement of special interest for New Zealand readers is that which has been announced between the Rev. Frederick Alexander Routley Chapman, domestic chaplain to the Bishop of Lichfield, and Miss Katherine Mill, daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Mill, formerly of New Zealand. The bride-groom-elect is the son of the late Rev. A. Johnston Chapman and Mrs Chapman, of Clifton, Bristol. The wedding is to take place in London about the end of July. The Bishop of Lichfield will officiate. It is interesting to mention that before the Right Rev. Dr E. S. Woods was translated to hi,s present See, he was Bishop of Croydon. For some while Miss Mill had been his private secretary. When the move was made to Lichfield, last September, Miss Mill accompanied the bishop, and she has been performing secretarial duty for him there ever since. Mr and Mrs Mill have many friends all over New Zealand, although they have not been back since Mr Mill retired from the position of manager of the Bank of New Zealand in London a few years ago The Rev. S. E. Woods, a son ol the Bishop of Lichfield, went to the Christchurch Diocese about 18 months ago. A verv attractive toothbrush holder may be made by enamelling an empty mayonnaise bottle to suit the colour scheme.
