THE PASSMORE PROPERTY
ro IHE El) ITO II
Sir,—l see by this morning’s Daily Times that a petition is being signed by objectors to the iniquitous deal under which the Passmore property at Wakari was purchased, and I would like to sign it. Can you please tell me where I can sign it? It may bo there are others like myself who do not know where to sign. I think this is one of the most unfortunate transactions ever attempted by any cduncil. If I were in Mr Passmore’s position I certainly would call the deal “ off ” rather than have my name passed down to posterity as a parly to it.—l am etc.. Ratepayer.
[A copy of the petition lies in the office of the Chamber of Commerce.— Ed.. 0.D.T.l
