HAWKE’S BAY MEETING
(Special to Daily Times) WELLINGTON, June 17. There are several fresh horses engaged in the fields at Hastings tomorrow for the second meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, The two jumping races especially being benefltted by the newcomers. Rain has fallen since last Saturday and with frosts the going is likely to be slower and softer, but if the day is fine it should be in good order. Betting will be single pool. Brackets are Proclamation and Morning Flight and Hastings West and Golden Melody in the Trial, and Don Erma and Booklaw in the Steeplechase. The following horses may be supported in their engagements: Hastings Trial. —Proclamation-Morn-ing Flight bracket and Hastings WestGolden Melody bracket. Hawke’s Bay Hurdles.—Begorrah and Soho.
