Edouard Bourdet, director of the Comedie Francaise, fighting out the duel which resulted from a quarrel concerning the production of M. Bernstein’s play “Judith,” which he contended was being presented by M. Bourdet without sufficient rehearsal. M. Bernstein, who had eight previous duels to his credit, wounded his inexperienced V opponent.
