PLANS FOR REVISION

OTTAWA AGREEMENT AUSTRALIAN NEGOTIATIONS LONDOM, June 7. Australia’s Ministerial trade delegates to Britain are seriously considering the probability of having to return without revising the Ottawa agreement. No revision ot the agreement is possible until the outcome of the Anglo-American talks is known, and these are likely to be delayed until September. The Minister of Commerce, Sir Earle Page, the Attorney-general, Mr Menzies, and the Minister of Customs, Mr White, left Australia for England on March 22 Since their arrival in London they have been awaiting the return of the senior British Board of Trade officials from Washington. Should the Australian Ministers be obliged to return without having achieved their objective, it is probable that Messrs A C. Moore. Comp-troller-general of Customs, and J. F. Murphy, secretary to the Customs Department, will remain to represent Australia at discussions upon the future of the Ottawa agreement after Britain and America have concluded their trade parleys.
