RUGBY FOOTBALL
TO-DAY’S MATCHES The main attraction at Carisbrook to-day will be the match between University A and Pirates, which is expected to provide a bright, open game. Both teams have been playing spectacular football and endeavour to keep play open. As a curtain-raiser, the Fifth Grade match between Union and Pirates A should also provide an interesting exhibition. At the Caledonian Ground, Southern will meet Zingari-Rich-mond. Zingari may be relied upon to put up a good game against their formidable opponents. At Opoho University B will meet Alhambra. Taieri will play Kaikorai at Mosgiel. The Dunedin-Umon game at Tahuna Park should be a good contest, as the Dunedin team has been showing marked improvement in its play and is developing into quite a good side. Official guides will be on sale at the Otago Sports Depot, Jacobs’s and at the various grounds.
