SPORTS CARNIVAL
The combined sports carnival organised by the Football Association and Men's and Women’s Hockey Associations will open at the old Post Office, Dowling street, to-morrow evening. The Carnival Committee has decorated the interior of the main building, and has made arrangements for all winter sports amusements. It is many years since a carnival has been held in the old Post Office, and many people are looking forward to the carnival, which will be somewhat reminiscent of those held some 20 years ago. Players and supporters of hockey, basketball, and Rugby and Association football will all have a chance to demonstrate their skill. Stalls, side shows, and refreshments have been arranged, and visitors may be assured of an enjoyable time.
