MUNICIPAL SOCIALISM EMPLOYEES ON COMMITTEES DISCONTINUANCE PROPOSED The venture into municipal Socialism instituted by the City Council, which went out of office last month is shortly to cease. A proposal to this effect will be submitted to the first meeting of the new council, which will take place on Tuesday night. _ The report of the Finance Committee to be presented on Tuesday night states that the question of the further representations of employees on the standing committees has been considered. The appointments made last year expired with the term of the last council, and the committee is of the opinion that the arrangement should now be discontinued. It therefore recommends that no further appointments be made.
