(Received June 3, at 1 a.m.) Owing to rain, play was not possible yesterday in the match, Australia v. Gloucestershire. The weather was cloudy and there was a biting wind when the match began this morning at Bristol. The wicket at the start appeared slow and easy and not helpful to the bowlers, but the batsmen did not profit from the bleak conditions. McCormick appeared valueless tinder the conditions. The start was delayed until 12.15. Allen won the toss and decided to bat. The Gloucester team is: B. O. Allen, Barnett, G. Emmett, B, H. Lyon, Crapp, Neale, G. Parker, Sinfield, A. Witson, Cranfield, and C. Tyler. The score' at lunch was two wickets for 61.
