LORD COWRIE SWORN IN

SEAT IN UPPER HOUSE LONDON, May 11. The Governor-General of Australia, Lord Cowrie (who was Briga-dier-general the Hon Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven, V.C., before he was raised to the peerage in 1935), was to-day sworn-in as a member of the House of Lords.
