When Lord Halsbury was interviewed by a special correspondent of the Daily Mail in Paris he said;— “ I did not attend the bankruptcy proceedings in London because I did not know of them. I had no idea that I had been adjudged bankrupt until just now, when I received a letter from a club advising me that I was no longer a member. J -‘, “My business is arranging British and Continental contracts. I have secured 11 orders in six weeks, and I am confident that I will be able to repay my creditors in full. “ I propose to stay in business.
