SEVERAL PERSONS INJURED LONDON, May 18. Failing to get their money back when the meeting was abandoned after a crash in the sixth event, thousands of spectators rioted at Harringay speedway (London). They broke down barriers and flagpoles, set fire to a tractor, damaged cars and fought officials. The police sent an SOS to Scotland Yard and all the Flying Squad cars were rushed to the stadium. Eight persons were arrested. Four women and three officials were injured.
