THE “BURNT-OUT” SOLDIER SPECIAL INSTITUTION NEEDED (Per United Press Association) WANGANUI, May 31. “ The time is not far distant when it will be necessary to, provide an institution between a public hospital and the Jubilee Home for the accommodation of ‘ burnt-out ’ soldiers,” said Mr F. G. Seddon, the secretary, at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Returned Soldiers’ Association to-night. This statement was made t by Mr Sedaon following a discussion on the plight of an R.S.A. member, aged 46, who had been sent from the hospital to the home. It was suggested by the secretary that a remit should be forwarded, to - the New Zealand Returned : (Soldiers’ Association conference proposing that the Government should act in conjunction with the hospital boards of the Dominion in seeking a way to deal with the problem. Another member suggested that the National Canteen Fund should be utilised, and an institution erected for the purpose of accommodating the aged returned soldiers of the Dominion.
