SPORTS CARNIVAL
A sports carnival will be commenced at the old Post Office, Dowling street, on Saturday. This carnival is being controlled by a combined committee foi'med from the Otago Football Association and the Men’s and Women’s Hockey Associations in an endeavour to improve their finances. Special arrangements are being made to have winter sports amusements at the carnival, and all players will have an opportunity of trying their skill. Entries for the tug-of-war contest will close at the committee’s office, Whitcombe’s Chambers, on Thursday, at 8 p.m., and club secretaries are asked to send their entries in early.
