WEDDING

Fergus—Nash A pretty wedding was solemnised on April 16, in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Ravensbourne, when the contracting parties were James Muir, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J Fergus, Bay View road, Dunedin, and Dorothy, youngest daughter of Mrs Nash and the late Mr Nash, of Ravensbourne. The church was beautifully decorated in pink by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Cairney, and the organist was Mrs Newey. The bride, who entered the church escorted by her brother, wore an ensemble of dusky pink, trimmed with grey fur, with grey accessories to tone, and carried a shower bouquet of pink flowers and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, who wore a green ensemble with a halo hat, and carried a bouquet of lavender flowers and maidenhair fern.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr W. Fergus. Mr Colin Nash and Mr Arthur Buchanan acted as ushers.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Vedic Cafe, where they were received by the bride’s mother, wearing a blue suit with hat to match, with a cream and pink tinted spray. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a black frock with hat to match and a black coat, worn with a spray of freesias and maidenhair fern.

For travelling, the bride wore a bottle green jumper suit and a bottle green tailored coat with hat and accessories to match.
