HITCH IN NEGOTIATIONS DIFFICULTIES RAISED BY ✓'NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, May 26. The Canberra correspondent of the Sydney Morning Herald says a hitch has occurred in the negotiations for the establishment of an air mail service across the Tasman. New Zealand has raised difficulties which have to be settled by direct negotiation with the British Government before the discussions can be continued. A denial that the New Zealand Government had raised any difficulties in connection with the proposed Tasman air mail service was given this evening by the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) when his attention’was called to the Sydney cable message stating that there has been a hitch in the negotiations for the establishment of the service. “ We have raised no difficulties,” declared Mr Savage. “ Certain details have still to be discussed, but so far as we are concerned-we are ready to carry out cur obligations right away. We are ready to carry out our part of the responsibilities as soon as the others involved are.”
