HEALTH LECTURES

FIRST OF NEW SERIES A large audience filled the Y.M.C.A Assembly Hall last evening for the first of the series of public lectures which Dr Sutcliffe is giving on vital health and food science. The lecturer was introduced by Mis» Dorothy Law and before giving his address, rendered the vocal solo “ I Love Life.” Vital health, said Dr Sutcliffe, depended upon proper eating and drinking. The number of people who knew how to eat and take care of themselves was comparatively small. Man to-day ate too much devitalised food, eating only the foods which pleased the palate but clogged the body thus making way for disease. The basic cause of most diseases. Dr Sutcliffe stated, was not germs, but debility, congestion inflammation and auto-intoxication.

Throughout his address the lecturer instanced many cases of people who had been assisted to vital health and rejuvenation by following his methods Dr Sutcliffe will deliver another leeture to-night at the Y.M.C.A., his subject being, “Glands and Nerves—(he Miracle Workers.” There will also be a demonstration of corrective nhvsical exercises on the platform
