It was decided to change the date of the tartan evening to June 21 on account of the night arranged falling on the night after the Foresters’ ball P.C.R. Bro. Brettell was granted leave of absence from May 24 to June 7. The following courts were invited to the tartan evening—Courts Pride of Leith, St. Andrew, Woodland’s Pride, King Edward’s Pride, Pride of Dunedin, and Marion (Mosgiel). One proposition was received for next court night. After the close of the meeting the visitors were received for the 500 tournament, the winners being Bros. Patterson and Ross, both receiving prizes presented by P.C.R Bro George Wright.
