FANCIERS’ CLUB
ANNUAL SHOW The annual show of the Dunedin Fanciers’ Club will be held on June 16, 17 and 18. Classes for dogs, cats, poultry, pigeons, canaries, budgerigars. finches, foreign birds and children’s exhibits are included in the schedule. The special prize list is an attractive one, comprising 220 cups and trophies and £2O in cash to be divided amongst the various sections. The lay-out of the show will be altered this year, so that a much warmer position may be set aside in the hall for cage birds. The new dog plant will also be used for the first time. A fancy dress parade for children will be held on the Saturday afternoon. The following judges have been appointed: —Dogs, all breeds—Mr P. W. Willson, Lower Hutt, Wellington; poultry, game, fancy and utility —Mr R. C. Wilson, Invercargill; bantams—Mr E. Vernor, Oamaru; pigeons, fancy—Mr G. H. Bradford, Christchurch; homers—Mr S. G. Brister, Ranigora;. canaries, Yorkshire, Norwich and Roller—Mr C. E. Burley, Invercargill; budgerigars, finches and foreign birds—Mr W. McD. Rae, Oamaru; cats—Mrs B. Hargreaves; guinea pigs and rabbits —Mr T. A. Brown, Dunedin.
