OPENING OF CAMPAIGN GOVERNMENT'S PROGRAMME CAIRO, Mar. 3. " We are sincerely desirous of developing cordial relations with our great ally in carrying out the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty in a most friendly spirit," said Mahmoud Pasha, in opening the election campaign. He stated that the Government's programme included the sDeedy modernisation and mechanisation of the Egyptian army, improvement of the State finances, and justice to all classes. Mahmoud added that Egypt was taking the greatest interest in the Anglo-Italian talks. Cabinet was determined to preserve Egypt's rights in the Suez canal.
