AN UNDERSEA GLOBE
PROFESSOR PICCARD'S PLANS DESCENT NEXT SUMMER VIENNA, Mar. 4. (Received Mar. 4, at 10 p.m.) Professor Picard is constructing an undersea globe in which, after a rehearsal at Lake Leman, he hopes to descend six miles west of the Canary Islands next summer, there, after descending at Questa Rica to a depth of 25,000 feet and at Mariannes 30,000 feet. The upper sphere of the globe contains oil which, as it is released, forces the globe downyards at two miles an hour, an electro magnet releasing shot ballast
