WAKATIPU LAMBS

RESULTS OF JUDGING IN LONDON The Southland Frozen Meat Company has received cabled advice of the "results of the judging in London of the fat lambs entered in the Wakatipu class at the Southland summer show. This class was open for competition by Wakatipu exhibitors, who were required to enter 10 crossbred lambs the property of the exhibitor and fed on his farm for two months before the show. The London placings were as follows: — Pen 315 (Mrs A Brown, Lower Shotover) 1 Pen 319 (G. R. Cockburn, Queenstown) . .. 2 Pen 310 (D. H. Cockburn, Queenstown) 3 When the lambs were judged in the pens at the Southland summer show W. S. Reid (Arrowtown), with two entries, was placed first and second, and Mrs Brown third. Messrs Macpherson, Train and Co., from whom the cable message was received, congratulated the district on the excellent quality of the lambs sent forward.
