Miss Norah Nutt will leave this morning for Lake Te Anau.

• The "death has occurred of Mrs Evelyn Penelope Oakden, wife of Mr Harry Percy Oakden, of Hamilton; at the age of 75 years. Mrs Oakden was a granddaughter of Judge William Valpy, who came out to New Zealand in the ship Blundell in 1849. and purchased what is now known as Forbury Park. Mr and Mrs Oakden were married in Dunedin in 1886, and celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding in Hamilton in November.
