On February 21 Unity Lodge, No. 16, 1.0.0. F. held its annual reunion of' veterans of the South Otago district. N.G. Bro. E. E. Wheeler occupied the chair, and P.G. Bro. E. N. Sudden acted as toast master. The veterans, numbering 21, were received with musical honours. After the toast "The King" was honoured, the chaplain P.G. Bro. E. H. Robinson, called the memorial roll. The roll was then called and 21 veterans from the five city 'lodges and Hereweka Lodge, Portobello, answered to their names. The following toast list was then proceeded with:—"Grand Lodge of New Zealand" (P.G. Bro. G. W. Bowler and Bros. R. E. Sligo, grand secretary, and L. D. Ritchie, grand treasurer), "The Veterans" (N.G. Bro. E. E Wheele" and Bros. R. McKinly, No. 58 H. H. Johnson, No. 697, H. CBrown, No. 417, J. S. Nelson, No. 801. J. Clearwater, No. 821, C. Beeley, No. 839); "The D.D.G.M., Bro. E. H. Dunn " (P G. Br., J. N. Milne), and "Visiting Brothers" (P.G. Bro. C. Payne); "Unity Lodge" (Bro. J. Clearwater, who congratulated the lodge on the thorough manner in which the function had been arranged and successfully carried out) During the evening musical items were presented by Bro. D. H. Andrew, the Hanna Bros., Bro. E. G. South, and Bro. J. Swan. Bro. N. Edmonson officiated at the piano.
