VALUE OF REST AND SLEEP
Speaking of the importance of rest and sleep in an address under the auspices of the British national health campaign. Mr N. A. Beechman, M.P., said he knew how difficult it was for parents who could not afford domestic help to avoid taking their children with them when they went out of an evening. How to ensure adequate sleep for their children was one of the pressing problems of this age. Nor must they forget the rest and composure that came from a proper understanding of spiritual values. There were occasions when it was necessary to have the concentrated stimulus of a mass meeting, taut there was more real value in a quiet and kindly chat with a good friend, or even in sitting by oneself on a cliff listening to the sea or watching the wheeling of birds.
