THE MIGRATION PROBLEM INCREASING INFLUX OF ALIENS CANBERRA, Jan. 6. The Federal Ministry will take early action to fulfil its election pledge to stimulate migration from Britain. The loss of British migrants and the increasing influx of aliens is causing serious concern. Australia has been losing British population since 1930, and it is estimated that unless some action is taken to stimulate migration Australia’s population will start to decline in 20 years. SYDNEY WOOL SALES SYDNEY, Jan, 6. (Received Jan. 7. at 1 a.m.) At the wool sales to-day the highest price of the season was obtained for greasy merino, 29d for five bales from Yass. The offerings totalled 11,485 bales, of which 8575 were sold, 1135 privately.
