OFFICIAL FORECAST STILL CHANGEABLE The following is the official weather forecast:— Pressure is now relatively high over the North Tasman Sea and northern New Zealand, but a series of westerly depressions continues to pass in the south. Indications are for: Winds.—North-westerly to westerly ? predominating, backing at times to south-westerly in places, mainly light to moderate north of New Plymouth and Napier, but moderate to strong from thence southwards, and occasionally reaching gale force in some exposed positions. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Rather rough to rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, and rather rough on the West Coast of the South Island, elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: North-west to westerly winds backing at times to southwesterly in the southern portion, light to moderate with slight to moderate seas in the northern portion, fresh and squally with rather rough to rough seas in the southern portion.
