MILL REMAINS IDLE
THE DEPUTE AT ONEHUNGA STRIKE PICKETS WITHDRAWN (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 8. Strike pickets have been withdrawn from the vicinity of the Onchunga Woollen Mill- as a result of a police intimation mat picketing was dlegal. and would not be permitted. That was the only development in the strike trouble to-day. The mill remained idle. No conference was held or arranged to deal with the mat'ers in dispute. “ Unless an early opportunity is provided for consideration of the points at issue he employees’ union will have no option than to hand the dispute over to the Federation of Labour,” said the secretary of the union (Mr T. Long) outlining the grievances which had been forwarded to the company on behalf of the workers. The complaints concern the conditions forwarded to the company o; behalf of the workers, and cover the conditions of work in the blanket and tweed looms, ventilation of the buildings, washing and cloak rooms accommodation, and first aid equipment.
