WOMAN BURNED
RUSHES INTO BLAZING HOUSE fPEB United Press Association) TE KUITI, Dec. .7. After being burnt in a fire in her home at Kaeaea, near Aria, last night, Mi's Emily Parkes, wife of Mr P. S. Parkes, was admitted to hospital in the early hours of the morning dangerously ill. Her house caught fire last night when her husband was away, and Mrs Parkes and her three young children escaped in their night attire. Evidently under the impression that one of the children was still in the house, Mrs Parkes rushed back into the burning dwelling, where her night clothing caught fire. The four made their way to a neighbour's house, and Mrs Parkes was brought into Te Kuiti Hospital early this morning. There has been no change in her condition since arrival.
