CALLING A STRIKE LONG BEACH AND KANSAS CITY NEW YORK, Dec. 1. (Received Dec. 1, at 11 p.m.) Mr J. H. Lewis announced that he is calling a strike for factories at Long Beach (California) and Kansas City. The Automobile Workers’ Union called off mass picketing at St. Louis, which was commenced on November 27. It claimed that the factories’ production had been seriously reduced, but the management denies this, claiming that it was normal.
