Miles will'take place next week, Mr Kevin Dun, who has been associated with Miss' Abraham in her profession as ballroom dancer, will travel with them to the North Island before embarking on a trip to England.

The members of the Waitahuna P.W.M.U, last week entertained the Busy Bees at afternoon tea for their final meeting for the year. The president (Miss Murdoch) was in the chair, and on behalf of the P.W.M.U.. welcomed the Busy Bees. The Busy Bees then gave a delightful little programme of songs, recitations, and part songs, and were warmly applauded by their audience. The Busy Bees’ leader (Mrs A. R. Bateman) thanked the P.W.M.U. on behalf of the children. Miss Mavis Cameron acted as accompanist for the various songs, etc.

The St, Andrew’s Collegiate School ex-Pupils’ Club held an enjoyable party on Tuesday afternoon in the lower lounge of the Otago Women’s Club,' which was charmingly decorated with poppies for the occasion. A warm and windless morning favoured the members of the French Circle of the Otago Women’s, Club yesterday for their party at “ Broomhill,” Roslyn, given by the circle president (Mrs Sutherland Ross). This being the last official occasion on which members would meet their chairwoman, Mme Saldaigne, before her departure on a visit to her native Belgium, the hostess presented her with a posy of carnations, and on behalf of the circle members wished her “ bon voyage.” Mme Saldaignp having responded, “ For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow ’’ was sung to the accompaniment of Mme Connor at the piano. A stroll round the garden in the sunshine and a climb to the tower to see the panorama below concluded an enjoyable morning. Those present were Mesdames Saldaigne, Connor, Garrett, Iverach. Alexander. Mason, Seddon. and Williams, and Misses Reynolds, Spedding, Columb, Mac Gibbon, Watson, Tayler, Aslin, Campbell, Scoular, and Thomson.
