Mr Arthur Kitson, who introduced “ talkies ” into Britain in 1926, has died in a London nursing home, aged 78. He worked with Thomas Edison on the original electric light, and with Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. He himself held 500 patents for inventions. As a young man Mr Kitson went to Canada and the United States, and he was one of the founders of Mimco, near Toronto, now a town of 40,000 inhabitants.
