MORTGAGORS AND LESSEES
THE REHABILITATION ACT MACHINERY AMENDMENTS (From Our Parliamentary Reporteh) WELLINGTON, Nov. 29. Machinery amendments to the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, which was passed by Parliament last year, will probably come before the House of Representatives to-morrow. This announcement was made in an interview this evening by the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage). "The amendments do not involve any alteration in the main principle of the legislation," Mr Savage said, "and the Bill to be introduced does not amount to more than about half a dozen clauses. I understand that the operations of the Act have revealed several instances in which improvements can be effected, and it is in order to bring about these improvements that the Bill is being introduced." , „ ~ Mr Savage added that the Bill would be discussed at a caucus of the Government Party to-morrow morning.
