NOT FAVOURED IN ENGLAND LABOUR MEMBER’S QUESTION LONDON, Nov. 18. (Received Nov. 19, at 11 p.m.) In the House of Commons, Mr Neville Chamberlain, replying to Mr Ellis Smith (Lab.) said that inquiries showed that the broadcasting of the proceedings of the House of Commons would not be approved by an> considerable section of the House. Mr Ellis Smith; “Is the x J remier aware that in a country where they have a real people’s Government (cries of ‘ Where is that? ’), namely, New Zealand (laughter) they have already, adopted parliamentary broadcasts. He asked for econsideration, as the people at present were dependent for House of Commons news on newspapers controlled by two lords.
