DISCOVERY IN FRANCE FURTHER REVELATIONS MORE ARRESTS EXPECTED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) PARIS, Nov. 18. The machinations of the Cagoulards are being unfolded every hour The police overnight made further discoveries of riiniature fortresses, arms dumps, and radio stations throughout the city. One of the most amazing finds was a perfectly-equipped hospital, with an operating theatre. A wellstocked arsenal was unearthed in the house of an antiquarian, where there were also military equipment and brown leather uniforms, all banded with royal blue. The arrests total nine and more are awaited. Le Matin says che police are attempting to discover who provided the several million francs needed to purchase the transport of tons of arms already revealed, including 400 machine-guns of German make A previous message stated. After the discovery of further concrete arsenals containing rifles, revolvers machine-guns, and grenades, the Paris police arrested four Cagoulards, including one of aristocratic birth. The police are carrying out a campaign throughout France to clean up the Cagoulards’ secret arsenals. ANOTHER ARMS DEPOT FOUND LONDON, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 19, at 10 p.m.) The Daily Telegraph’s Paris correspondent says the police discovered a fourth arms depot. Two more men have been arrested, making eleven. A search was made of 450 houses throughout France. It is stated that the police were unearthing an organisation named “ the Secret Revolutionary Militia,” formed of extremists from various militant leagues which- were dissolved last year. The police believe that the hospital which was discovered was intended for the treatment of wounded in the event of a rising. They are investigating the activities of doctors in the vicinity.
