THE WAIKATO MEETING

(Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, Nov. 19. Rain during the week has eased the track for the opening of the Waikato Racing Club’s spring meeting at Te Rapa to-morrow. The weather has been showery to-day, btU the going should be only a trifle slow if it clears. The various races are very open, and there may be some surprises as the fields are large. The win-and-place system of betting will be used, and horses likely to be well supported in their engagements include:— 12.15 Trial Stakes.— Balinavar, Forest Acre, Royal Vaals. I.o—Waimai Hurdles.
