CHARGES OF INEFFICIENCY INQUIRY TO BE HELD LONDON, Nov. 17. After a violent attack in the House of Commons on Imperial Airways and the genex - al backwardness of British aviation, Lieut.-colonel A. J. Muirhead announced that in view of the specific allegations made, the Secretary for Air would, in fairness to both sides, set up a departmental inquiry into the member’s charges of inefficiency in Imperial Airways’s methods of dealing with the staff. STAFF MANAGER’S RESIGNATION LONDON, Nov. 18. (Received Nov. 19, at 1 a.m.) Questioned with regard to statements made in the House of Commons debate, in which it was suggested that Sir Tom Ince WebbBowen, staff manager for Imperial Airways for four years, resigned on personal grounds, an Imperial Airways official admitted that “he is no longer in our service.”
