ARABS DISPERSED
ARMED BAND NEAR SAFED BRITISH TROOPS’ OPERATIONS CASUALTIES NOT KNOWN (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) JERUSALEM, Nov. 17. The operation of three companies of British troops against an armed band of Arabs north of Safed concluded with its breaking up and dispersal. Remnants of the band who attempted to break through the ring of soldiers under the cover of darkness were heavily machine-gunned. The exact number of casualties is not known, but the Arabs buried several bodies in the vicinity. A Jewish labourer was fatally shot and stabbed on the Plain of Esraedon.
