COMPENSATION AWARDED
LAND TAKEN FOR AERODROME BOROUGH COUNCIL TO PAY iFeb United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 17. Compensation amounting to £9434 for land taken under the Public Works Act for extensions to the New Plymouth aerodrome and for remaining land injuriously affected by severance was granted by a majority decision in the Supreme Court to-day to Mrs R, L. Barclay The compensation is to oe paid oy the New Plymouth Borough Council, from which Mrs Barclay, the former owner of the land, claimed £12,013. The costs of the inquiry, amounting to £IOO, are to be paid by the Borough Council, with expenses to be ascertained and fees for two assessors of £47 5s each. The assessor for the Borough Council dissented from the decision.
