OFFICIAL FORECAST SQUALLY AND CHANGEABLE The following is the official weather forecast; — A rather deep depression has crossed the Dominion, and is being followed by a secondary depression across the south Tasman Sea. An intense anti-cyclone covers the greater part of Australia, but pressure is still rather low over Tasmania. Indications are for: — Winds.—Moderate to strong, south-*'-westerly or westerly predominating, of ' gale force at many places, and veering ' a 1 times to north-westerly about Cook!
