OFFICIAL FORECAST CLOUDY TO OVERCAST The following is the official weathar forecast: — A series of westerly depressions continues to cross south Tasman Sea and' southern. New Zealand. An intense; anti-cyclone is, however, now- advancing on to south-eastern Australia.; Indications are for:— Winds.—Moderate to strong northwesterly, reaching gale force at places south of. New Plymouth and Castlepoint, backing-to westerly and later, south-westerly, a general southerly change being probable within from 24' to 36 hours. ' ' Seas.—New Zealand Waters: Rough; about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere slight to moderate, but rising' generally jn the West Coast.
