IN SPORTS ATTIRE

MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT AN UNUSUAL SPECTACLE (From Our Parliamentary Reporteri WELLINGTON, Nov. 16. The unusual spectacle of a member of Parliament sitting in the House of Representatives in sports clothes was seen this afternoon, when Mr J. B. Cotterill (Govt., Wanganui) appeared in his seat in this unexpected garb. Possibly it was the extremely warm weather that has been experienced in Wellington during the past two or three days that Ted Mr Cotterill to forsake the ordinarily sober garments of the back-bench legislator for a skyblue blazer and light grey flannels, or perhaps it was a desire to institute a dress reform movement in the House, but the effect created was certainly an unusual one. If the brighter dress could be taken as a forerunner of brighter sittings of the House, the lead given by Mr Cotterill would undoubtedly be welcomed.
