£19,000 IN NINE MONTHS Yet another example of the wonderful prizes that are occasionally won by the gold prospector is reported from Dunnsville, about 40 miles north of the once-famous Coolgardie, Western Australia H. W. Wisbey and E. T. Norton secured 2192 ounces of gold, worth about £18,970, from 41 tons of ore. The men first struck a rich leader two feet below the surface, and 12 tons of stone was crushed for a 632 ounces. In April they crushed eight tons for 1140 ounces, and late in September 21 tons gave them 420. ounces. , , The gold came from an oblong pipe leader (12in by 4in) which had been followed to a depth of 50 feet.
